Finally posting a couple things from Can You Teach My Alligator Manners? Oddbot Inc. made these fun little interstitials for Playhouse Disney. I worked on the second round of shorts. I did BG Cleanup and Color in Illustrator and Flash. The BG Design was done by the super talented Eric Gonzalez. I did design the cool Egyptian jewels in the museum BG. That was so much fun!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I certainly did. Here are some handmade gifts I made for Christmas this year. It was super fun and relaxing. I bought the retro santa stickers at Hallmark two years ago and didn't want to waste them by sticking them on some card that would get thrown out, so I made ornaments out of them and I love the way they turned out.

I made bookmarks for my Book Club too. I used Martha Stewart scrapbooking paper on one side and one the other I carved a stamp with a bamboo design. I think they turned out pretty cool.

I also made treats for everyone. These are Oreo Truffles. They are so yummy. I got the recipe from

I changed the recipe slightly by adding different flavors of Oreos and instead of white chocolate I used dark. They are super easy to make (no baking involved.) There is a lot of crushing of Oreos.

I recently took a two week trip to Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, and one night in New York. It was my first time in Europe. I've pretty much decided that Barcelona is where I want to live. I took so many pictures. Trying to edit through them is quite a task.

One of my favorite places to visit was La Boqueria in Barcelona. It is a market with tons of different stalls filled with amazing foods. I couldn't get over the vivid colors. I hope to post a bunch pics from my trip. I'll start with La Boqueria.

These next few are from Johnny Test. Marc Perry did the Character Designs. I had a blast working on this show!

The last ones are from Out of Jimmy's Head or OOJH as I like to call it. I did the Cleanup and Color on these. I think most of these designs are from Brianne Drouhard (she's awesome!)

Here are a couple bgs I painted from the first episode. The yacht was drawn by the very talented Gay Lawrence and the obstacle course was drawn by the awesome Alex Campos. The style is quite different from anything else you'll see on t.v. these days. I like painting on this show because I can be very spontaneous with color and texture.

Watch the show tonight at 8:00pm on Cartoon Network and at 7:00pm there is a special with Andre 3000. I do BG Painitng on the show. The style is pretty crazy but it's totally fun. Hopefully I can start posting some things from the show petty soon. Each episode will consist of a new song by Andre and a music video to accompany it. Each music video will have a Guest Art Director. Tonight's episode will feature two songs with Art Direction by John K. and Overton Lloyd (Parliament Funkadelik artwork.) It has been a blast working on this show and the people on my crew are so talented. So enjoy the show!

Auction for Fyn!

On Thursday April 20, Cartoon Network will be hosting a Silent Auction for Fyn Stec. Fyn is the most awesome kid. Last month he was diagnosed with liver cancer. I've been super busy lately and haven't had time to post anything new. Next week I'm starting work on the new untitled Andre 3000 project as a BG Painter.

I just wanted to let people know about a really cool art exhibit featuring one of my favorite artists, Rick Froberg. The image above is from the show's flyer. It's up through early February. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase two of his pieces. I can't wait to pick them up and get them framed. I highly encourage people to check out his work.

All of these paintings are digital, but I wanted them to look as close to traditional as possible. I hope they are coming across that way. I use Illustrator to block in shapes and then use Photoshop for a little texture. I know they are small. I'll see if some point I can get them bigger.
